Showers of Blessings

This past weekend I realized how truly blessed I am to have the family and friends I do. I had my baby shower on Saturday, hosted by my sister, and Beth Linder. It was absolutely perfect and everything was beautiful! I felt so fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who love and care about me and this little one I am expecting already! It really set it in that she is on her way!

Putting a Face to a Name

Jim and I had the opportunity to have a 3D/4D ultrasound done last month. It was SO amazing to really see her and put a face to her name, Avery Burke. She got a little bored with us after about 10 minutes of the session so we had to schedule another one. We got some really great pictures both times. We had a lot of fun guessing whose features she has. From what we can tell she has my ears and nose and Jim's lips. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I can't wait until she is in my arms. Only 8 more weeks! The time is flying by too fast!

It's a Girl!!

We had our Ultrasound on June 4th when I was 16 weeks (I know I am REALLY late posting this!). Everything looked wonderful, she has a strong heart beat of around 150 beats per minute, and we got to take a peek at our little one! I am amazed at how much she has already grown in 10 weeks! Jim was right, he said girl all along, but I thought it was a boy. Now it's time to load up on the pink and purple!

The most wonderful sound in the World!

I know it's been too long since I updated this, but I am determined to get everything caught up today. I wrote this a while ago, but it's taken me a while to get on and post it! Sorry for the delay!

At our last appointment on May 9, Jim and I heard the most amazing sound ever. The beat of our little one's heart! It was such a wonderful little noise to hear! The doctor said the baby has a very strong, healthy sounding heart with beats around 160 a minute! I wish I could have recorded it, but I play it over again and again in my mind!

Everything is going really well, I am 12 weeks and have gained 1 lb to date! Still no sign of morning sickness, and I am craving fruit like crazy!! We scheduled our Ultrasound today as well. We will hopefully know something on June 4. So keep your fingers crossed that our little one cooperates!

Big changes in Our Little World

After the wedding dust settled a little and life became what we thought was "normal", Jim and I found out we couldn't be farther from the truth! We recently found out that we are expecting a little package at the end of November, that we have affectionately nicknamed, "Nugget". Neither of us could be more excited to know that soon our family will be expanding!

I am almost 11 weeks along, and have been blessed with such an easy time so far. Other than feeling tired in the afternoon, I feel great; no signs of morning sickness at all (I told you I was blessed)!
